1. UTILIZE YOUR ROOF
One of the most under utilized space in a tiny house is it’s roof. Well a roof top can be very much used as a garden, reading book, hosting a small party, chilling out in the sun and a lot more depending on how do you wish to use this extra space.
Usually a deck is added on the roof with 1’ railing all around it and that gives you your roof top a large space for your hobby.
Accessing the roof is a challenge sometimes as most of the THOW folks provide entry to the roof via loft bed. Houses with foundations provide stairs to roof by an external means, normally a ladder.
2. WALL CLIMBING
If you have kids and plan to live in a tiny house, this is one of a very cool features to add in, it makes the best utilization of your space.
The climbing wall grips are installed on the walls by drilling a hole, and logically this wall should go up to the loft (you gotta provide a ladder too to climb up the loft).
Another option is to screw the climbing grips onto the exterior wall and use it to climb the wall which leads to the roof top.

3. KITCHEN EXTENSION
A kitchen extension which opens 2 sides, one in the kitchen and other to the deck. This way you save on space for dining table and money too and the icing on the top is it looks cool.
This is also called a pass-through window. Don’t you think adding this design will possibly make your friends go wow on you!

Barn doors can be easily DIYed and takes about little to no skill to make. It is usually one of the first steps to learning carpentry.

5. HIDEAWAY BED
A foldable or hideaway bed can be of the most important and the most used feature that’d make your tiny home stand out from the rest. Also, it’s logical to save as much space as you can and use that space to accommodate something important.
Using a hideaway or foldable bed gives your the freedom to actively switch between sleep mode and work mode. The only con is that it gets a little expensive than the regular bed but in my perception but it’s worth it.
6. OUTDOOR SHOWER
If you are going to do a tiny house on foundation or maybe are planning to stay at a fixed place even on a tiny home on wheel, I’ve a creatively smart idea for you.

The whole idea is to get an outdoor shower and make your baths more comfortable and cool. You can also save some space from the bathroom and use it for some other purposes, say storage. Storage is mostly a problem in a tiny house so by doing this you get the best of both worlds, an outdoor shower and more storage.
However, with my plans you won’t need to worry about storage, since 100% of my plans have sufficient storage and the plans are designed to make it ergonomic, economic and provide ample space for your essentials

7. RAIN CATCHMENT SYSTEM
By adding a rain catchment system, you can reduce water consumption for the grid, thus reducing water costs. Rain water can be filtered and used for drinking, cooking and cleaning. Rain water can also be used for gardening and washing the exterior of your tiny house.
One problem is that you cannot install a rain catchment system in a THOW. However, it is possible to do it once your THOW is stationery at one point.
